HOUSTON. May 16, 2008 – daratechPLANT, the nation’s leading plant asset lifecycle management event, announced today that its 2009 conference will be held February 23 – 25, and that the event will be moving to a larger venue to facilitate expansion, the Hilton Americas in Houston.
daratechPLANT also announced that it has launched an industry-based Advisory Board, and has named Joseph Morray, Jr., President of Trinity Technologies, to chair the new Board. Mr. Morray is a recognized leader in the plant industries and has frequently spoken at daratechPLANT conferences.
As president of Trinity Technologies, Mr. Morray consults with operating and technology companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy industries to enhance their use of automation tools for the plant lifecycle. Over the past 15 years, he has worked with numerous companies to bring together technology initiatives with major business drivers and financial considerations.
“We are very pleased Mr. Morray will be leading our industry-based Advisory Board. Having an ex-pert in the area of plant automation, especially one who intimately understands technology software and how it is used by O/Os and EPCs will bring a valuable perspective to our program,” said Kim Arellano, daratechPLANT Conference Director. “We look forward to working closely with Joe and our industry representatives to develop a top-caliber conference that will attract many new industry leaders, especially from the international community where we see significant opportunity for growth.”
