Get Certified in GIS – Geographic Technologies Institute to Offer Certification Curriculum

June 09, 2008 -- Goldsboro, N.C. – Geographic Technologies Institute, part of industry-leading GIS solutions provider Geographic Technologies Group (GTG), is set to launch a new Understanding Local Government Series in Fall 2008. GTG will offer a variety of courses designed to allow local government staff to learn GIS tools and skills that will enable them to perform their job more effectively.

The coursework is designed so that students can select an individual class or a curriculum. Individual classes focus on specific skills with a focus on local government. GTG also offers mobile training packages - GTG will come to you! This convenient opportunity allows you to choose the courses, and GTG will train on-site for two weeks, certifying up to 12 staff members.

“There are many exciting training opportunities coming up at GTG,” said Joe Renzetti, Training Center Manager at GTG. “These courses and workshops offer something for everyone, whether it’s someone just starting out or a seasoned manager looking to reach the maximum potential of their GIS.”
