SEATTLE, June 11, 2008: Spectrum(TM) Construction Software from Dexter + Chaney (
www.dexterchaney.com) has received a five-star rating—the highest possible—in the annual review of contractor/construction accounting systems by CPA Technology Advisor magazine (April/May issue). Spectrum was awarded a five-star over-all rating, and also received five stars for each of these individual categories: learning curve/ease of use, modules and functionality, productivity tools, import/export/integration and reporting.
The review explained that “Spectrum is a sophisticated program designed for large construction-related companies. No matter the sub-specialty, Spectrum has a series of modules designed to work with a business.” It said that Spectrum “is a completely integrated system, with all modules designed to work together seamlessly” and that Spectrum “contains excellent reporting capabilities, including easy integration with Crystal Reports.” It noted Spectrum’s Document Imaging, Project Management, Query and Dashboards and Spectrum Mobile modules.
Established in 1991, CPA Technology Advisor (circulation 47,300) is written for certified public accountants, CEO’s, CFO’s, consultants and others in the public accounting and related professions. Each issue contains reviews of software products that may be recommended to clients.
“The five-star rating is, in essence, a ‘seal of approval’ for accounting firms to recommend Spectrum to their construction clients,” said John Chaney, CPA/MBA, Dexter + Chaney co-founder and president. “We’re delighted to receive that recognition.”
