Pacific DataVision's Locator for SkyMail(TM) Solution Named a Runner Up in the 2008 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge(R) During CommunicaAsia in Singapore

CLIFTON, N.J.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 30, 2008— Pacific DataVision (PDV), a recognized leader in wireless voice messaging, dictation and documentation services, today announced that its Locator for SkyMailTM service has been selected as a Runner Up in the 2008 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge, Asia-Pacific Region. PDVs application was selected out of more than 150 registrants that applied for the competition.

Locator for SkyMail earned the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge award on Wednesday, June 18th during the NAVTEQ awards event. The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is a global program that invites application developers around the world to build innovative location-based services (LBS) that work with mobile phones and/or wireless handheld devices using dynamic positioning technology and NAVTEQ maps. The awards event was part of CommunicaAsia 2008, a premier global information and communications technology tradeshow held in Singapore. Winners were selected by an esteemed panel of judges made up of executives from leading wireless carriers, handset manufacturers, tool and platform providers, and venture capitalists. We are extremely honored to have our Locator for SkyMail selected from such a large pool of highly competitive products from around the world, said Frank Creede, Chief Technical Officer of Pacific DataVision. This award not only gives us global recognition of our technology, but also validates to our customers that Locator for SkyMail will give mobile workforces a powerful tool for quickly sharing their location details, along with their documented notes and reports from the field, in a fast and simple way. SkyMail is truly one of the best choices for improving documentation and productivity across field teams that want to reduce or eliminate hold times when trying to communicate with their dispatcher or field office.

PDVs SkyMail is an application that enables mobile workers to wirelessly dictate, document, and share time sensitive information from any mobile phone via email, with their dispatch, central office, or another mobile worker by simply using their voice. The solution significantly increases the speed and accuracy of communications from the field, giving mobile workers literally the fastest way in the world to document an event or send a message. It also provides increased accountability. With Locator for SkyMail, enterprises can enhance their SkyMail messaging, including the ability to attach an interactive map, the location coordinates, and the physical street address of their position along with their SkyMail message. In addition, SkyMails customized subject lines like Customer Not Home or Job Closed can be used to communicate the significance of a message, so the most important messages can be acted on first.

PDV will receive $157,500 in cash and licenses in conjunction with this award. Moreover, SkyMail has earned several other industry awards this year, including the 2008 Andrew Seybold Choice Award.

NAVTEQ congratulates Pacific DataVision for this outstanding achievement, especially given the exceptional quality of all the applications submitted in the Asia-Pacific region this year, commented Marc Naddell, vice president, partner and developer programs, NAVTEQ. This recognition reinforces the strong market potential and compelling nature of their application for the wireless LBS space.
