The First Secure System-on-Chip Awarded Common Criteria EAL4+ Certification
The AT91SO100 is the first secure microcontroller platform for trusted electronic transaction terminals that has been awarded a Common Criteria EAL4+ certification. The Atmel devices with this certification are ideal for applications such as e-payment, e-government, identity and IP protection. Providing a higher level of security, Atmel's certified devices are an optimal choice for new designs.
Based on the ARM(R) SecurCore(TM) SC100 CPU, the AT91SO100 features 256 Kbytes of EEPROM program and data memory and 100 Kbytes of RAM. It offers an impressive set of cryptographic features, the AdvX(TM) crypto accelerator, strong security mechanisms, firewalls, environmental protections (mesh, switches, secure packages) and backup area (RTC, master keys).
"Being awarded the Common Criteria EAL4+ Certification enhances our leadership in the secure microcontroller market," commented David Richetto, Atmel's Marketing Manager for Embedded Security.
