3D Printing & Direct Digital Manufacturing Coverage Expanded by PADT

PHOENIX—(BUSINESS WIRE)—February 4, 2009— Phoenix Analysis & Design Technologies, Inc. (PADT, Inc.), the Southwest’s largest provider of mechanical engineering products and services, is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Stratasys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSYS) to sell the company’s complete line of Dimension 3D Printing and FDM Rapid Manufacturing Products in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.

PADT was chosen by Stratasys, Inc. based upon their long and close relationship, success selling the Dimension 3D Printers, and strength as a Rapid Prototyping Service provider.

“We are very excited about being able to represent the complete spectrum of Stratasys products, from the entry level uPrint to the highly capable FDM systems,” said Rey Chu, director of rapid manufacturing at PADT. “We are especially excited about offering the uPrint. With a price under $15,000, the uPrint system is perfect for small companies, departments or schools who need fast, accurate and robust prototypes made right next to their desk. Based on proven Dimension technology, the uPrint has reliability and quality that no other low-cost 3D Printer can match. We can’t wait to start leaving demo units with our customers.”

“We are just as excited to be able to provide our customers with fully capable Direct Digital Manufacturing systems represented by the FDM product line,” added Mario Vargas, PADT’s manager of product development solutions. With a larger building volume, greater accuracy and variety of real world engineering materials, the FDM systems deliver the most robust solution for going directly from computer model to a usable plastic part at a price ranging from $100,000 to over $300,000. PADT is uniquely qualified to sell and support these systems because it has been providing this type of part creation as a service to hundreds of customers in the Southwest for 15 years.

Along with adding the full range of Stratasys products, PADT is also expanding its efforts by adding Colorado and Utah to its sales territory. The area will be covered by PADT’s sales team in Tempe, Arizona, and by a new sales office in Denver, Colorado. PADT is proud to be chosen by Stratasys, Inc. to exclusively sell uPrint, Dimension and FDM systems in the Four Corners region. With an expanded sales and support team backed up by 15 years of experience providing sales, support and engineering consulting, the company is well positioned to offer expanded solutions to its customers.
