TerraGo Technologies Announces New Browser-Based Solution for ESRI ArcGIS Server

ATLANTA, GA – February 17, 2009 TerraGo® Technologies, a leading provider of geospatial collaboration software solutions, today announced the availability of Composer for Server® – a new solution that enables grab-and-go access to all types of geo-located content from an ESRI ArcGIS Server. The solution will be demonstrated in the TerraGo booth, #123, at the ESRI Federal User Conference February 18-20, 2009 in Washington, DC.

“As ArcGIS Server operates as the central source for data management for many global defense and intelligence agencies, the ability to dynamically serve very specific, geospatial content to war fighters and intelligence officers in the field is becoming increasingly important,” said Jeff Peters, federal programs director for ESRI. “When equipped with solutions like TerraGo Composer for Server, our customers will be able to further leverage their investments in ArcGIS Server while providing anytime, anywhere access to their non-traditional GIS users.”

How It Works
In a kiosk-like environment, users login to a secure geospatial portal that is powered by ArcGIS Server and select an area of interest (AOI). Based on the geo-located content available within that AOI, users can dynamically create a custom GeoPDF that contains hyperlinks to the selected content, such as maps, images, documents, drawings and photographs. The GeoPDF can be easily distributed to end users for mark up and collaboration to improve situational awareness and increase efficiency of field operations.

“Today’s location-aware culture is fueling demand for greater access to geospatial assets,” said Chris Watson, vice president marketing and business development for TerraGo Technologies. “We developed Composer for Server to help customers meet this demand by providing self-service access to virtually any geo-located information in a single, easy to use GeoPDF, extending the value of their ArcGIS Server investment beyond the GIS department.”
