Meridian Systems Announces New Independent Software Vendor Relationship with NoteVault

Prolog users can automate daily construction reporting with NoteVault's voice-based technology

FOLSOM, Calif. (March 17, 2009) - Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, today announced a new Independent Software Vendor (ISV) relationship with NoteVault, Inc., the leader in voice-based mobile reporting for general contractors and facilities management companies. As an authorized Meridian ISV, NoteVault brings voice-based mobile reporting services to Meridian customers and partners, further enhancing the capabilities of Prolog construction project management software.

NoteVault simplifies and dramatically improves the collection and dissemination of field-reported information by allowing field workers to do their reporting just by speaking into their current mobile phone. Through its integration with Meridian Prolog® software, the NoteVault service transcribes voice data and imports the information directly into Prolog software securely over the Internet leveraging Prolog Connect. Prolog Connect is a new Web-services platform designed to simplify interoperability and integration.

"Tracking accurate information from the field has always been a big challenge," said Peter Lasensky, principal of NoteVault, headquartered in San Diego. "NoteVault provides an easy and accurate way for field personnel to deliver their reports. These contemporaneous field reports are independently time and date stamped and are essential for contractors looking to minimize their exposure to risk."

NoteVault directly integrates with numerous components and modules within Prolog software, including daily construction reports, daily events, safety reports, requests for information (RFIs), conversion logs, and punch lists. NoteVault will be adding additional integration touch points based on customer requirements by June of this year.

"NoteVault helps Prolog customers increase both the quantity and the quality of field content by offering an alternative to keyboard data entry," said Bruno Berti, senior director of product management at Meridian. "Project team members can call from the field and simply speak their observations and notes into most any mobile device. NoteVault transcribes this information and posts it into Prolog software. There is no need to need to take partial notes and manually enter the data at a later time."

Prolog software delivers total project management control for construction projects by automating day-to-day tasks and processes, from project design to close-out. Prolog Connect, a Web-services platform extension, together with Prolog software improves ease of use, supply chain collaboration, and software integration flexibility.
