NVIDIA Confirmed as a Platinum Sponsor of the 2nd CGDC

BEIJING, May 4 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Organizing Committee of the 2nd China Game Developers Conference (CGDC), including Howell International Trade Fair Ltd., announced on April 30, 2009 that NVIDIA was confirmed as its platinum sponsor for this year. According to the sponsor agreement, NVIDIA will display its latest products and technologies, which were also presented at the US GDC last month, in the "Tool Display Area" of CGDC; it will also have special sessions in this year's conference ("NVIDIA Day") for exchange of technology and other related items.

NVIDIA is the world leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the GPU, a high-performance processor which generates breathtaking, interactive graphics on workstations, personal computers, game consoles, and mobile devices. NVIDIA serves the entertainment and consumer market with its GeForce graphics products, the professional design and visualization market with its Quadro(R) graphics products, and the high-performance computing market with its Tesla(TM) computing solutions products. NVIDIA is headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif. and has offices throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

The CGDC Organizing Committee noted, "We'd like to thank NVIDIA for its considerable support to our conference. NVIDIA, as the world leader in visual computing technologies and the inventor of the GPU, is sure to deliver quality speeches to game developers in China, as well as the latest visual and graphic products and solutions.

"For several years, NVIDIA has been invested heavily in educating and collaborating with the best and brightest Chinese developers to help them maximize the visual appeal in their games," said Keita Iida, Director of Global Content Management at NVIDIA. "Participation at CGDC is a key initiative in our developer engagement efforts, and will play a role in fueling the next wave of games that advance visual computing."

Since the 2nd CGDC started its preparation, major software and hardware companies in the world have been closely following its development. With the smooth preparation of the conference, finalizing its program, topics and speakers, the industry has felt increasing confidence in it and in turn upgraded the sponsorship. NVIDIA is just a beginning of it and we are sure there will be many more coming along.

The 2nd CGDC will be held on July 24-26, 2009 at Shanghai International Convention Center, along with CGBC (China Game Business Conference from July 22 - 26, 2009) and ChinaJoy (July 23-26, 2009). The combination of events will undoubtedly present a carnival for the global game industry, with professionals in both business and R&D sitting together for extensive and comprehensive communication. This will also enable exchange of opinions in the development and integration of the industry. The Organizing Committees of ChinaJoy and CGDC welcome business and technology professionals of the game industry, as well as the media, to come to this year's conference!

We will be waiting for you at the coming summit of the global game industry!
