Pictometry to Feature New Technologies at 2009 Governor’s Hurricane Conference, May 13-14 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Rochester, NY, May 11, 2009 – Pictometry International Corp. will feature two new technologies as well as its Economic Alliance Partnership (EAP) program at the 2009 Governor’s Hurricane Conference, May 11-15 in Fort Lauderdale , FL. The conference is the premier event for government officials who manage emergency preparedness and recovery efforts in areas vulnerable to damaging tropical storms. Pictometry’s exhibit at the conference will run from May 13-14 (booth no. 211).

Featured technologies include Pictometry’s Real-Time system and its new critical infrastructure intelligence product which gives emergency responders a view of building interiors with data overlays. The Real-Time product (currently in its final stages of development) was created in partnership with ITT Corporation (Space Systems Division) and Harris RF Communications and is part of a Department of Homeland (DHS) Security Phase II SBIR contract awarded to Pictometry.

“Pictometry technologies provide emergency responders with vital situational awareness information during a crisis,” said Dante Pennacchia , Pictometry’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Powerful storms carry an enormous potential for loss of lives and property so it is absolutely essential that counties, states and federal agencies have immediate access to high quality visual information. We’re proud to have the technology, the experience and the resources to make these critical tools available when they are needed the most.”

Pictometry’s Economic Alliance Partnership (EAP), also featured at this year’s conference, provides government users with visual information products without cost or at significantly reduced rates. Through the EAP users can have convenient online access to imagery using Pictometry Online™ and access to multiple seats of Pictometry’s Change Analysis™ software at no additional charge. Additionally, Pictometry customers can also receive enterprise-wide infrared software without cost. EAP works by leveraging Pictometry’s large national commercial accounts with its patented technology, rapid response image capture experience, its fleet of aircraft and its vast national image library. In recent years, Pictometry’s EAP has provided areas affected by hurricanes Katrina, Ike and others with critical visual information.
