PCI Geomatics Receives Funding from Going Global Innovation

Richmond Hill, Ontario — June 16, 2009 — PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of geo-imaging software and systems, is pleased to announce it has received funding from the Going Global Innovation (Going Global) for its project on finalizing and generating new partnerships in China .

Going Global Innovation is the science and technology pillar of the Global Commerce Support Program (GCSP) which provides a client focused consolidated approach for accessing funding sources from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) to attract foreign direct investment, increase Canada ’s business share in foreign markets as well as provide additional innovation and commercialization opportunities.

Active in China since 1991, PCI Geomatics has recently opened a Beijing corporate office and supports research partnerships and market development in the environmental sciences and technologies, natural resources and ICT areas.

The funding received from Going Global Innovation will be used to support the creation of research and development partnerships through an aggressive series of workshops and events as well as to showcase Canadian and Chinese expertise to the international community.
