Company ships low cost Blu–ray audio production plug–ins for Compressor & QuickTime
September 14, 2009 - MINNETONKA, MN——Minnetonka Audio Software, Inc., a leader in production software for consumer electronics, motion picture and broadcast surround sound applications, today announced the shipment of two products, SurCode™ Encoder for DTS-HD™ for Compressor and, SurCode™ Decoder for DTS-HD™ for QuickTime®.
In conjunction with these product releases, DTS and Minnetonka Audio Software have teamed up to create a dedicated web destination, www.dtshdforcompressor.com. With a product overview, tips on Blu-ray audio encoding and workflow, tutorials and frequently asked questions, the site has everything a Final Cut or Logic Studio user needs to get started with DTS and Blu-ray.

About the SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD for Compressor
The SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD is an audio encoder for Apple’s Compressor 3. The new plug–in is capable of producing encoded streams directly from both Apple Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio. It encodes lossless DTS-HD Master Audio™ for Blu-ray from stereo up to 6.1 channels, as well as other BD compatible streams types, including DTS-HD High Resolution Audio™, DTS-96/24™, DTS-ES® and DTS Digital Surround™.
The SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD works seamlessly with programs such as DVD Studio Pro and Adobe Encore for DVD title development, producing DVD–compatible .cpt files at up to 96 kHz with DTS 96/24 or up to 6.1 discrete channels with DTS-ES.
SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD for Compressor retails for US$249 and includes SurCode Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime. SurCode Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime can be purchased separately for US$29. Both plug–ins are available now from Minnetonka Audio dealers and resellers worldwide.

Bundled with the DTS-HD encoder for Compressor, the SurCode™ Decoder for DTS-HD™ is the companion plug–in for Apple’s QuickTime player. The decoder offers users the ability to play back DTS streams, from lossless DTS-HD Master Audio™ to low bit rate DTS-Express™, for quality control prior to disc authoring.
