VX Corporation donates integrated CAD/CAM software

Samutsongkhram Technical College of Thailand adopts VX CAD/CAM

Melbourne, Florida – September 17, 2009  – VX Corporation and its exclusive distributor in Asia, Machineware, has donated 60 licenses of their comprehensive CAD/CAM solution, VX End-to-End with 5 Axis, to Samutsongkhram Technical College (S.T. College) to help teach students a full range of design and manufacturing disciplines.  The donated software contains all of the functions of the full commercial product.

Samutsongkhram Technical CollegeS.T. College is a top rated technical and vocational college located near Bangkok.  “The teachers love VX CAD/CAM,” said Hiroshi Shimizu, Director of Machineware, “but, equally important, they love to teach VX.”  It is quickly spreading amongst the teachers.  The number switching to VX from their current software continues to grow as they experience VX CAD/CAM’s contagious power, rich features and ease of use.

This gift is part of VX Corporation’s (www.vx.com) commitment to support the use of technology in education.  State of the art CAD/CAM software better equips teachers and students, allowing them to maximize their educational efforts.  “Since design through manufacturing is built into one product, students and teachers profit by being able to focus on teaching and learning manufacturing and engineering concepts,” said Bob Fischer, VX Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “They spend less energy learning how to interface with CAD/CAM software and more time on process improvement.”  Educational institutions and students alike will benefit from VX’s learning system, Show-n-Tell™.  Users can work at their own pace, not that of an instructor, so no one gets left behind. Show-n-Tell™ is built into VX CAD/CAM for on screen step-by-step lessons that work like a 3D book. Users can step back and forth through tutorial steps with a click of a button.
