New material extends the capabilities of
the world’s only multicolor 3D printers
BURLINGTON, Mass., USA, December 1, 2009 – Owners of the Z Corporation ZPrinter® 310 Plus and Spectrum Z™510 3D printers can now produce 3D physical models that are stronger and more colorful, with brilliant whites, thanks to the company’s new zp®150 premium composite build material. zp150 also enables users of all current-generation ZPrinters to use water as the curing agent for finishing multicolor models.
zp150 was released in June for the ZPrinter 450 and ZPrinter 650 3D printers, and is also compatible with the new ZPrinter® 350 released in October. This announcement expands its benefits to the vast majority of Z Corporation’s ZPrinter customers.
zp150 yields models that exhibit:
- a 40 percent increase in “green” strength for improved ease of use;
- a 40 percent increase in the final strength of parts cured with Z-Bond 101; and
- a 100 percent increase in the strength of parts that are water cured parts in an easy, clean process that finishes parts with a spritz of water.
zp150’s richer colors and brighter whites produce higher-impact models that make a stronger impression than ever on colleagues, customers and other decision-makers. Whiter whites are especially important in fields like architectural modeling where true white is the traditional standard. And water curing is the simplest, most affordable, safest and greenest post-processing method in the industry – ideal for early prototypes and education environments.
