Dewberry Awarded FEMA Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program Contract

Firm will provide architecture, engineering, and planning services to support mitigation activities, Nationwide

Dewberry, a nationwide professional consulting services firm, has been awarded a five-year Hazard Mitigation Technical Assistance Program (HMTAP) support contract from the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is for one base year and four option years, not to exceed $150 million. Dewberry is a prime contractor to FEMA, having won similar contracts in the past as a joint-venture partner and subcontractor.

Under HMTAP, Dewberry will assist the FEMA Headquarters’ Mitigation Directorate or any of its ten regions in executing HMTAP, the National Earthquake Technical Assistance Program (NETAP) and the Wind and/or Water Technical Assistance Program (WAWTAP). Dewberry will also deliver professional services for all types of pre-disaster and post-disaster mitigation activities in response to natural events and disasters, as well as pandemics and manmade events or disasters.

Dewberry’s broad spectrum of professional services will be made available in support of FEMA. Under previous task orders, Dewberry has provided training, benefit cost analysis, mitigation planning and grant program support, environmental and historic preservation compliance, geographic information system support, building science and code related expertise, and a full-range of architectural and engineering support to develop and evaluate mitigation projects nationwide.
