Knoxville, TN (November 3, 2009) – ModernTech Mechanical received six honors during the recent SolidWorks World 2010 conference in Anaheim, California. Among the honors, ModernTech Mechanical was named top overall reseller in the South. ModernTech Mechanical also earned a coveted spot in President’s Club, an honor recognizing the overall top performing resellers across the world. Additionally, ModernTech Mechanical was recognized by their customers and the SolidWorks community for earning a Superior Customer Service Rating for the third quarter in a row.
Several ModernTech Mechanical team members were recognized for their individual accomplishments. Application engineer Jeremiah Davis won the SolidWorks World 2010 Model Mania contest, which assesses the engineer’s ability to design, with the highest accuracy and timeliness, a predetermined mechanical part while competing against his/her peers. Additionally, application engineers David Arthur, Jeremiah Davis, Tim Paris and Tom Young were each awarded the Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation Elite Applications Engineer Award. This one-time honor is awarded to application engineers who have passed a set amount of certification examinations outlined by the Elite AE Program.
Lastly, sales manager Terry Ray was honored during the reseller awards dinner Wednesday evening for earning the title of Certified SolidWorks Solution Sales Professional (CSSSP), making him one of only 49 people world-wide who currently hold this title. In order to become a CSSSP, the applicant must pass a certified SolidWorks Sales Professional Exam, ACE Account Management Online Training, ACE Account Management classroom training, achieve SolidWorks goals for 24 months, and achieve multiproduct goals for 12 months.
