AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology Hosting the 2010 AMT/NCMS Manufacturing Technology Forum: Energy & Innovation

February 18, 2010 - McLean, Va. . . . AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology is hosting the 2010 AMT/NCMS Manufacturing Technology Forum, March 30-31 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.  The event is open to AMT members as well as non-members.

In addition to featuring the latest manufacturing technology R&D from around the world, the forum will also host an in-depth discussion about what major manufacturers are doing to reduce energy consumption as well as views on requirements resulting from regulations like the Energy Independence and Security Act. Making presentations at the forum will be executives and officials from GE Aviation, Caterpillar, Boeing, Bosch Rexroth, the U.S. Department of Energy and more.

“Manufacturing technology has always been an industry of innovations with the goal of making things faster, more efficiently, and with top precision,” said Paul Warndorf, Vice President – Technology for AMT.  “Knowing that new energy and sustainability requirements

are also going to demand that the technology of the future delivers all that, while using less energy to do so, challenges us to educate manufacturers now.”

Registration is $650 through February 26 and $750 February 27-March 30. Members of the media can register for $325. Registration details are available at www.AMTonline.org/techforum.

The forum is co-sponsored by AMT-The Association For Manufacturing Technology and the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences.
