High school teams will converge on the
Nation's Capitol March 5-6 to compete in the FIRST®
Robotics Competition. The two-day competition is free and open to the

WHAT:
The FIRST Robotics Competition Washington DC
Regional. The FIRST Robotics Competition is an annual event that
challenges high school students, working with professional mentors, to
design and build a robot as a solution to a technical engineering
problem. The challenge changes each year. This year's challenge is a
high-tech game called
"BREAKAWAY."
WHO:
Students on nearly 60 high school teams, representing

(Note: Reporters, photographers and videographers may schedule a visit Thursday afternoon, March 4, when teams are arriving and setting up their robots.)
