Getfugu Appoints NASA Developer John Basile Chief Product Engineer

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Mar 15, 2010 -- Getfugu, Inc. An accomplished and experienced software developer, engineer and co-author of the NASA paper, "DA White Dwarf Effective Temperatures Determined from IUE Lyman-Alpha Profiles"; J.B. Holberg, F. Wesemael, J. Basile Astrophysical Journal, 306: 629-641, 1986 July 15, Basile brings his knowledge and skills as lead developer to Getfugu's iPhone/Android application, which uses new Augmented Reality tracking and Voice and Vision recognition features.

Basile developed software to analyze the UVS Data of the occultation of Voyager II with the rings of Uranus and several stars. He also developed software that compared accuracies of JPL navigational predictions on this occultation and co-authored the paper.

This application highlights development of an equation parser, and custom Cells that are driven from the data, allowing any new Questions/problems and automatic updates posed by Garth to be added directly to the SQLite Database with no re-programming/compiling of the application.

As Database Marketing Manager for Spectrum Chemical, Basile Created an Enterprise-wide Marketing Database -- FileMaker 8/9, integrated with operational - Oracle 11 Database, which included RFM and LTV Engines to institute Database Marketing cost cutting functions. Basile provided complete CRM and Sale Tracking and used his business database of 11 million US Companies to create marketing segments by SIC Code, Credit rating, and Revenue to enhance Spectrum's Campaigns. His experience includes development of scientific and database management software for point of sales tracking, and bill of materials (BOM) within small business applications.

Basile was previously Contract Programmer at DBA Numerics in Culver City, CA; Database Marketing Manager for Spectrum Chemical & Laboratory Products, Gardena CA; Software Engineer for Mito Systems, Inc., Santa Monica, CA; and President, Spectra Blue, Inc., Tucson, AZ. He holds a B.S. in Engineering-Physics, with a major in astronomy & physics with a minor in computer science, from the University of Arizona; possesses a commercial pilot's license with both single & multi-engine instrument rating, and was an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force.
