Continental Mapping Awarded US Army Corps of Engineers Surveying & Mapping Contract

April 06, 2010 -- Sun Prairie, WI—Continental Mapping is pleased to announce that the Tulsa District of the US Army Corps of Engineers has awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) surveying and mapping services contract to a team led by Continental Mapping. The 5-year contract has a limit of $6 million and will focus on photogrammetric and land survey projects, with an emphasis on dam safety studies in the four states the District and the Corps’ Southwest Division cover: Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

“This is exciting—an IDIQ like this is a big deal,” said Continental Mapping President Dave Hart. “We have worked on dozens of Corps projects across the country, and it’s great when the hard work it takes to build that level of experience pays off with this kind of recognition.”

Continental Mapping’s program manager for the contract, Certified Photogrammetrist Chris Aldridge, added, “The Corps is a great client. I’ve had the opportunity to manage several IDIQs for other districts and other government agencies, and I’m excited about working with the Tulsa District. My first meeting with the staff there went well, and we are already moving forward with work on the first task order. It is going be a fun challenge! Fortunately, we have a very focused and knowledgeable staff, and we have an experienced team of large and small business partners who are industry leaders in this work.”

Continental Mapping is pleased to add the Tulsa District to our list of federal clients, and we look forward to serving their geospatial data development needs as a small business prime contractor. Continental Mapping plans to continue expanding our service offerings to meet the demands of our Corps clients as well as engage our large and small business partners to meet the needs of this contract.
