GeoEye-1 Archive Reaches New Milestone

May 04, 2010 --
A recent review of the GeoEye-1 archive shows a substantial increase in recent data coverage in Australia in comparison to the previous 2 years. More than 1 million sqkm of data has been captured in recent months.

The 50cm imagery (originally captured at a resolution as small as 41cm at nadir) is proving popular with groups as diverse as agribusiness, energy companies, mining and government.

Check out the easy DIY online archive http://geofuse.geoeye.com/maps/Map.aspx . When you find what you like, simply convey to note the Scene ID numbers.
