Project Information Management Best Practices Explained at Deltek Insight 2010

MANCHESTER, NH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 05, 2010 -- Newforma®, a software company addressing the project information management ( PIM) needs of architecture, engineering and construction firms, announced today that the benefits of its PIM software, Newforma® Project Center, integrated with Deltek® Vision® will be highlighted in two sessions at Deltek Insight 2010 in Washington, D.C., May 17-20, 2010.

On Tuesday, May 18, Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture & Engineering Principal and CIO Brad Horst, Newforma Vice President of Product Management and Industry Marketing Bob Batcheler and Knowledge Architecture Founder Christopher Parsons will co-present " Telling the Whole Project Story: Integration of Vision and Newforma." During the session, they will explain how to create a single source of truth for project information, including financials, images, contracts, email and history. They will also show how to leverage the integration available between Vision and Newforma Project Center to display a whole project story through enterprise portals like Microsoft® SharePoint® and reporting technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server® Reporting Services.

Also on Tuesday, May 18, BNIM Architects Director of Information Services Kelly Uehling and BNIM Accounting Coordinator Laura Bellis will present " Paperless Invoicing." In this session, attendees will learn how BNIM has leveraged integration between Deltek Vision and Newforma Project Center to create a more sustainable, speedy and nearly paperless billing process.

Newforma Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell says, "Integration between Newforma Project Center and back-office systems such as Deltek Vision provides our customers with valuable decision-making information. For example, the remaining fee available to complete a project is only meaningful in the context of the work still to be completed. Knowing how many RFIs are still open is also part of the whole project story that needs to be addressed by the project team. Similarly, project milestones can be at risk if expected submittals are still outstanding. The value of combining project process information that is being managed by Newforma PIM software and back-office financial and milestone data being managed by Deltek Vision is a compelling enabler for more predictable and profitable project delivery."
