ASCENT- Center for Technical Knowledge® Receives Autodesk Certification for Inventor 2011 Training Guides

RAND Worldwide®, a global leader in providing technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and information technology requirements, announced today that its courseware division, ASCENT – Center for Technical Knowledge®, has received Autodesk Inventor 2011 Certification, and has also released the following training guide for Autodesk Inventor 2011 mechanical design and engineering software: Autodesk Inventor 2011: Advanced Part Modeling.

This is the third consecutive year that ASCENT has received the Inventor certification from Autodesk. Digital Prototyping with Autodesk Inventor software gives manufacturers the ability to digitally design, visualize and simulate how a product will work under real world conditions before it is built, which helps reduce cost and speed time to market. Being listed as Inventor Certified on Autodesk’s certified product website indicates that ASCENT’s courseware has met Autodesk’s highest standards for product compatibility and quality.

“We are pleased to receive Autodesk’s stamp of approval for our Inventor 2011 courseware,” said Paul Burden, director of product development, ASCENT. “As a member of the Autodesk Developer Network for over 15 years, we continuously strive to produce high-quality, up-to-date products for our clients, and this certification is further reassurance that we have met that standard.”

“Partner products bearing the Autodesk Inventor Certified logo provide our customers with the assurance that these products have met Autodesk’s highest standards”, said Tim Gray, director of Inventor product management at Autodesk. “ASCENT has reached this level with their Inventor 2011 course training guides.”

In addition, ASCENT recently released its second Inventor 2011 title, Autodesk Inventor 2011: Advanced Part Modeling. This training guide covers topics such as multi-body design, advanced lofts, advanced sweeps, coils and surface modeling. Additional material aimed at increasing efficiency is also included: iFeatures for frequently needed design elements, iParts for similar designs, iLogic for automating part designs, and translation options for importing data. With an understanding of these tools, students can begin to streamline the design process.

ASCENT is an Authorized Author, Publisher and Developer of Autodesk curriculum. All of the company’s Autodesk courses are available to educational institutions, individuals, and corporations.

ASCENT will be releasing a full range of titles updated for 2011 in the coming months. To see the company’s complete courseware lineup, please visit www.ASCENTed.com.
