Map World Forum is now Geospatial World Forum

New Delhi — June 08, 2010 — GeoInformtics, GIScience, Geomatics, Geospatial….. are a few terms for geographical information science. In recent times many organizations and professionals have adopted and accepted the usage of ‘Geospatial’ as an all encompassing terminology. In order to maintain our pace with the changing world we are glad to adopt this term to re-brand our conference. Pursuing our earlier objectives and recognizing our expanding role, we are pleased to announce that - the very successful ’Map World Forum’ is being renamed as ‘Geospatial World Forum’ so as to expand the scope and reach of the technology and also to provide a complete definition to this ever growing industry. We will continue to put together our endeavors to develop awareness campaigns advocacy programs and business development platforms for geospatial world through our conference.

Renaming our successful conference Map World Forum to Geospatial World Forum has been done keeping in mind the larger interest of this industry and project the term ‘Geospatial’ which more appropriate, encompassing and is widely accepted to represent our community.
