Tiburon's Latest CommandCAD Delivers Unrivaled Integration and Intelligence Between CAD, Mobile and Fire Solutions

PLEASANTON, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Aug 02, 2010 -- APCO Booth #939 -- Tiburon, Inc. announces the general release of its industry-leading CommandCAD 2.6 solution that delivers enhanced situational awareness and response capabilities for fire and rescue agencies. CommandCAD 2.6, Tiburon's computer aided dispatch (CAD) solution, brings seamless integration, enhanced flexibility and bi-directional information sharing between Tiburon's CommandCAD, FireRECORDS and MobileCOM solutions.

With CommandCAD 2.6, at the onset of an incident, CommandCAD automatically queries FireRECORDS and displays critical information on premise, hydrant, unit locations and potential plume dispersal data in CommandCAD and MobileCOM. MobileCOM and FireRECORDS are Tiburon's mobile communications system and fire records management system (RMS). Tiburon MobileCOM 2.1 continues the deployment of actionable information with even greater integration and real-time information sharing between FireRECORDS and CommandCAD for complete intelligence concerning every incident.

"With CommandCAD 2.6, fire and rescue agencies get significant improvements in situational awareness, intelligence and response effectiveness. The integration between Tiburon's CommandCAD, MobileCOM and FireRECORDS products is unsurpassed in the public safety industry," said Manoj Goyal, Vice President, Products & Engineering, Tiburon, Inc. "Having the ability to have real-time information sharing between the CAD and RMS systems on every incident enables fire and rescue agencies to ultimately save more lives and better protect their communities."

Significant public safety and response benefits to agencies includes:

Bi-Directional Interface to Tiburon's FireRECORDS
Tiburon has true integration between its CommandCAD, MobileCOM and FireRECORDS products to enable first responders to receive accurate information quickly, improving situational awareness on premise data, permits, hydrants, chemicals, storage tanks, contact information, building information, inspections and fire protection systems.

The information is displayed according to an agency's data requirements and desired layout, and users can create multiple ways to filter data that is being shared between CommandCAD and FireRECORDS. Customized filters allow users to determine which agencies, departments or services can view their data. Additionally, proximity parameters for hydrants, chemicals and permits have also been added to display for users.

Fire Premise Information
Automatic fire premise information is available with reports that contain hazardous material information about the premise, building and occupancy information, permit, fire protection systems, inspection and premise contact information.

New Unit Recommendation
CommandCAD 2.7 enhances the ability to tailor Unit Recommendation Module pattern requests to return the best possible list of available units that match the user's desired unit type and resource requirements. The new and enhanced module supports system configuration flexibility when establishing multiple Law, Fire and EMS response pattern scenarios. This feature is especially useful when emergency response recommendations require changes during a shift, or from shift to shift.

Cross Staffing
One-to-one cross staffing relationships are enhanced to create multiple unit dependencies or a one-way unit dependency. New commands establish non-reflexive cross staffing relationships between units where clients have the ability to specify the unit dependencies. For example, a user can have a unit that is dependent on another unit but not the other way around.

When one of the units in the cross-manned group is dispatched on an incident, the other units in the cross-manned group that are dependent on the dispatched group are removed from the unit recommendation search list and placed in a cross-manned unavailable state. This status indicates that the units not taken to the call are unmanned. If the other units in the cross-manned group are not dependent on the dispatched group, they remain available for dispatch.

Hydrant display and integration with FireRECORDS
CommandCAD and FireRECORDS integration includes shareable hydrant information which automatically updates in the FireRECORDS application. During address verification and mobile dispatches, users are alerted to the relevant hydrant information including hydrant locations, flow rates, nozzle types and whether a hydrant is in or out of service.

Display Hydrant Information Command
A new command within CommandCAD displays hydrant information based on location, call number or assigned unit. The command has parameters which permit users to further define criteria based on hydrant distance, flow quality and status.

Hydrant and GIS Data Synchronization
Hydrant information defined in FireRECORDS is graphically displayed on workstation dispatch maps. Data synchronization allows the user to send hydrant data to the GIS and populate a layer for Tiburon's tactical mapping applications.
