SolidCAD, a leading provider of software, training and technical support for Autodesk solutions, hosts the first-ever SolidCAD University (SU) on October 22nd, 2010 in Toronto and October 27th, 2010 in Mississauga. SolidCAD’s university-style event allows industry professionals from Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) and Manufacturing to choose from more than 18 industry-specific courses per session. SU’s first session for AEC covers Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions as well as AutoCAD and Navisworks Construction Management solutions. The second session is geared to the Manufacturing sector and focuses on Autodesk Inventor Digital Prototyping Solutions as well as AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault Data Management solutions.
Similar to Autodesk University (AU), SU offers industry professionals the opportunity to enjoy specialized training but offers it a fraction of the cost. Michael Kugan, Vice President and co-founder of SolidCAD notes “We know users of the Autodesk family of products are keen to learn tips and tricks for getting the most out of their software but can’t always attend the larger AU conference in Las Vegas.
