SuperGIS DataManager 3 Supports Geodatabases

September 24, 2010 -- SuperGeo Technologies, the leading global provider of complete GIS software and solutions, announced that SuperGIS DataManager 3, the data management tool, is able to support several commonly-used geodatabases, such as Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Spatial and Oracle Spatial.

SuperGIS DataManager 3 is the management tool which enables GIS users to manage, view, and search map data in the computer, to view the attribute table, and to view and edit the metadata of the map data.

As GIS technologies are more mature and can be applied to various fields, numerous large scale GIS plans are carried out. The larger the plan scale is, the larger the volume of spatial data is. Consequently, Geodatabase becomes necessary and essential in geospatial industry.

SuperGIS DataManager 3 can be used as the bridge to import vector data to Geodatabase and export the data in Geodatabase to vector data. SuperGIS DataManager 3 also supports several commonly used geodatabases, like Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Spatial, Oracle Spatial 10i/11g, etc. Therefore, map data can be utilized by multiple users, and the availability of the data can be improved.

Meanwhile, users can export the data in the databases mentioned above to vector data. Thus, the spatial data can be applied more conveniently. In addition, users can also employ the map navigation tools in SuperGIS DataManager 3, including zoom in, zoom out, pan, full extent, query, etc. to navigate and query the spatial data in the database to enhance the efficiency of data management.
