Axium Introduces Ajera 6.0 and New Green Technology Designed to Help Architecture and Engineering Firms Ease Cash Flow Issues and Eliminate Excessive Waste Caused by the Billing Review Process

Beaverton, Oregon – Oct 6th, 2010 — Axium, a leading developer of accounting, project management and business development software for architecture and engineering (A/E) firms, recently announced its release of Ajera 6.0 and a revolutionary Paperless Billing Review process.  This new green feature is aimed at a process that has plagued firms for years.

“If you ask accounting departments at A/E firms what their biggest frustration is, the majority of them will say that the billing review process is near the top of the list,” said Brian Siefkes, Director of Product Marketing. “The principles want to get invoices out the door but the invoices can’t go out until the project managers have reviewed them. This process typically doesn’t happen very quickly and the delay impacts a firm’s cash flow and ends up causing frustration that can put a strain on employee relationships.”  

The new Paperless Billing Review technology will allow accounting departments to notify project managers immediately when a billing report is ready to be reviewed, eliminating paper and delays. Project managers can make changes electronically in Ajera and the accounting department is then notified when their changes have been submitted. 

“In the past, billing reports are printed out and a large stack of paper is left for review on the project manager’s desk,” Siefkes said. “Many project managers spend a significant amount of time away from the office on job sites.  By making the reports available within Ajera, project managers will now have access to review them from their computer on-site, at home or in the office, expediting the process and reducing printing costs.” 

Ajera 6.0 will also include a new Client Invoice Designer.  This feature will enable increased flexibility for creating custom invoices for multiple billing types or types of clients.
