MecSoft Corporation Releases PRO-DUO configuration for VisualMILL-for-SolidWork

Irvine, CA, October 13, 2010:    MecSoft Corporation, a global leader in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software, announced today the release of a new VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks configuration called PRO/DUO.

"With our PRO/DUO product, multiple operators have the freedom to choose their preferred programming environment,” stated Gerald Hiller, Director of International Sales. “SolidWorks users can integrate VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks as their main CAD/CAM system, while users who are more accustomed to a standalone shop-floor or tool-room programming environment can use VisualMILL.”

Utilizing the product’s interoperability functionality, users can freely transport part geometry and programming data between VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks and VisualMILL, enabling seamless data flow between Engineering and Manufacturing.  This ensures design data integrity as well as reducing translation issues that can create costly production delays or worse, manufacturing errors.

Offered at a list price of $6,000, the PRO/DUO configuration allows customers to have up to two networked users running VisualMILL-for-SolidWorks PRO and/or VisualMILL PRO standalone, from one security key.

“Prior to the release of our PRO/DUO configuration, customers would typically have to purchase two separate seats of CAM for two operators,” said Hiller. “With the PRO/DUO configuration, our customers can save up to $2,000. And, if they choose to run the standalone VisualMILL on one programming station, they could save the cost of purchasing an additional CAD seat as well.”
