MFG.com and Messe Frankfurt, Inc. Announce Partnership To Serve Textile Sourcing and Manufacturing

The partnership will begin by working together on the 2011 textile events - Texworld USA, International Apparel Sourcing Show and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo in New York City

ATLANTA — (BUSINESS WIRE) — March 8, 2011 — MFG.com, the largest global sourcing marketplace for the manufacturing industry today announced a partnership with Messe Frankfurt, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Germany’s leading trade show organizer. Both companies will begin their partnership by working together on the New York July 2011 textile events, which are comprised of Texworld USA, International Apparel Sourcing Show and Home Textiles Sourcing Expo all taking place July 19 – 21 at the Javits Convention Center.

“MFG.com is thrilled to be working closely with Messe Frankfurt, Inc., here in the USA for the Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing, and Home Textiles Sourcing shows in New York City,” says Tony Forcucci, Global Director of the Textiles and Apparel Sourcing Marketplace at MFG.com. “The idea of unifying the online and offline sourcing experience for both Buyers and Suppliers makes sense.”

MFG.com will act as the online sourcing partner of Messe Frankfurt, Inc., to provide its marketplace as a 365 day / year round community. Messe Frankfurt’s textile shows provide the invaluable opportunity to meet directly with suppliers face to face and examine samples in person. In light of recent fiber and resource concerns, the importance of developing these relationships with live meetings has only increased. Textile trade shows allow exhibitors to show a larger part of their collection than they are able to convey via photographs or small swatches couriered back and forth overseas. And the all-important quality of hand feel can only be assessed in person.

“We are excited to have MFG.com as a new partner for our Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing and Home Textiles Sourcing shows in New York, as they add a great resource for our customers to extend the value they receive from our shows throughout the year,” comments David Audrain, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America. “Adding MFG.com to our existing partnerships with Stylesight, Lenzing and our other partners, makes our shows in New York that much more valuable and ‘must-attend’ events.”

Though a show directory with contact information is distributed to attendees at every show, Messe Frankfurt Show Management receives calls year-round from buyers asking for resources. With apparel manufacturers and retailers planning for more deliveries throughout the year and responding to quickly evolving market trends, there is a need for an online sourcing partner like MFG.com to compliment the textile shows and serve textile manufacturing year-round.
