DBx GEOMATICS Launches the 3rd Generation of its CartoVista Thematic Web Mapping Solution

Gatineau, March 24th, 2011 – DBx GEOMATICS today announced the launch of the 3rd generation of its thematic web mapping solution, CartoVista 3. A brand-new tile engine has been added to CartoVista 3 that integrates existing map tile providers, such as Google, Bing or Yahoo Maps. This new feature empowers both content managers and GIS professionals to publish interactive maps to the internet in a few minutes.

CartoVista 3 has been entirely re-architected and optimized for a faster display and provides more control over the map thematic analyses. The solution now supports unlimited thematic analyses from different interactive vector layers all at once. Maps now load up to three times faster, provide smoother navigation and allow for unlimited zoom details.

The new version of CartoVista brings the user experience to a higher ground with an unparalleled interactive experience. The solution continues to be a highly effective web application, combining the best of today’s cartography with advanced data visualization. The speed of deploying maps has increased, allowing more time to fine tune the end-user interactivity of relevant business layers.

With its user-friendly icons and graphics, the CartoVista 3 user interface includes new pods, windows, contextual menus and animations to help display strategic indicator data (tables, charts, info tool, etc.). “The user interface leverages the best of the Adobe Flash platform with a maximum of flexibility” said Dany Bouchard, President of DBx GEOMATICS inc. “The dockable windows and dialogs assist the users in building advanced dashboard views for analysis in just a few clicks“, he concluded.
