Direct link with Blum

A new interface with Dynaplan, which is directly accessible from TopSolid’Wood, allows TopSolid users import furniture designed using Dynaplan. All imported parts can be directly exploited in TopSolid’Wood for assembly, draft generation and machining. The TopSolid user can also use all Blum 3D hardware models available thanks to the new cooperation between Missler Software and Blum.

Automatic assembly

This new function offers an automatic assembly mode based on predefined assembly rules. Thanks to this function the TopSolid’Wood user can assemble several parts at the same time (multi-assembly) while using components associated with several propagations. Recognition of parts to be assembled and the automation of such steps as screw insertion, assembly by pins, etc. (without doing this one by one) enable the new automatic assembly function. The principal advantages of automatic assembly are the possibilities the user benefits from to better structure and organise his time as well as significant time savings in assembly definition.

Improved multi-machining

TopSolid’Wood 2011 offers 2 main improvements in its multi-machining possibilities:

• The user can now manage the operations order to be applied for multi-machining
• Multiple projects can be machined with the multi-machining function

 The operations order can be determined and set in the CAD stage, taking into account machining priorities and imperatives, and applied automatically to the multi-machining function to ensure that the desired machining order is respected. This ensures that the machining order defined in the CAD stage is respected and the user does not need to repeatedly his machining programs. This reduces the risk of errors by standardising procedures and permits significant time gains.

The multiple-machining of several projects at the same time offers the workshop manager increased flexibility in planning his machining thereby permitting increased productivity gains.

TopSolid’Planner - new interior design graphical configurator

TopSolid’Planner is a new interior design graphical configurator which now completes the TopSolid CAD/CAM range for the wood industry. It is a very useful and efficient sales tool for sales teams and is completely integrated with TopSolid’Wood and TopSolid’WoodCam. The sales person can quickly generate 3D realistically rendered images, drafts and quotations for his customers. All projects created with TopSolid’Planner can be sent directly for manufacturing preparation (BOMs, follow on sheets, nesting operations, machining program …)

TopSolid’Quote – new quote generation tool

TopSolid’Quote is a simple-to-use estimate generation tool for your itinerant sales force that needs to make estimates quickly and precisely. In just a couple of clicks you can easily add your products and services and create a personalized estimate. The new TopSolid estimate generation tool (which is directly linked to TopSolid’Wood) manages multiple suppliers and supplier catalogues as well as the generation of estimates in different languages and currencies. It is integrated with the TopSolid product range and is maintained updated on the internet. All estimates generated can be sent to suppliers by email or can be downloaded through an ftp site.
