Intergraph's call-taking and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software improves coordination between the city's police and fire agencies, speeds response to critical incidents.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 19, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — Intergraph®, the leading global provider of incident management solutions, announced today that the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, has chosen Intergraph's incident management solution to enhance emergency response and interoperability between their public safety agencies. The city will use Intergraph's map-based computer-aided dispatch (CAD), mobile technology, automatic vehicle location and interoperability software.

The implementation will extend the Intergraph CAD and mobile technology already in place at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) to include call-taking and dispatch at the city's Fire Department. The consolidated system will improve operational efficiency at both agencies, which serve a population of approximately 1 million.
