Oregon State Police to Increase Agency's Safety and Effectiveness with Intergraph® Incident Management Solution

Intergraph technology will provide more relevant incident management information for rapid response and crime investigations

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 9, 2011 — (PRNewswire) — The Oregon State Police has purchased Intergraph® public safety software, including comprehensive incident management and business intelligence applications, to improve service in its three bureaus: Intergovernmental Services, Bureau of Investigations, and Central Operations Command. Together, the department serves Oregon's more than 3,800,000 residents plus visitors with specialized programs, including transportation safety, major crime investigations, advanced forensics, fish and wildlife enforcement, Fire Marshal Service, Special Weapons and Tactics, and more. The agency is also Oregon's point of contact to the National Office of Homeland Security.

Intergraph competed with other major vendors to win the contract that replaces the agency's 17-year-old public safety system. New capabilities include Intergraph's map-based computer-aided dispatch, mobile technology, automatic vehicle location, interoperability software for multi-agency coordination, and business intelligence to capture and analyze data collected during incidents.

"We're excited the Oregon State Police has chosen Intergraph technologies to modernize their public safety operations," said John K. Graham, president, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure. "Our tightly integrated system will simplify workflows, improve communications, and provide flexibility and scalability for whatever needs arise in the agency's future."

"The Microsoft® BizTalk® Server platform allows Intergraph's customers to share urgent information among agencies and jurisdictions using industry standards such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)," said Gail Thomas-Flynn, Vice President, U.S. State and Local Government, Microsoft Corporation. "Microsoft SQL Server enables them to optimize the management of critical data, including easy access by all authorized users, including personnel in the field."
