MIT Media Lab Hosts Technology in the Classroom Town Hall in Partnership with NBC News’ Education Nation and Dell

Program moderated by NBC News Chief Education Correspondent Rehema Ellis, NBC News Special Correspondent Chelsea Clinton and WHDH-TV Anchor Kim Khazei

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 12, 2012 — On September 13, 2012, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab will host a Technology in the Classroom Town Hall event in partnership with Dell and co-produced by NBC News’ Education Nation and NBC Learn. Leading education thought leaders and policy makers, plus parents, teachers and students will gather to discuss technology’s influence in learning and how to cultivate new, innovative learning models.

The program will include two panels, “The Digital Divide: Equity and Access” and “How Technology Spurs Innovation in the Classroom.” The event will be moderated by NBC News Chief Education Correspondent Rehema Ellis with support from NBC News Special Correspondent Chelsea Clinton, as well as NBC Boston affiliate WHDH-TV Anchor Kim Khazei. Questions will be taken from in-person attendees and solicited from the online audience to stimulate discussion and debate today’s most important topics in education.
