Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Dec 3, 2014 – geographIT was recently recognized by Esri as a new member of its “ArcGIS Online Specialty” designation. This designation is limited to Esri Partners who have demonstrated in-depth knowledge, skill, and competence in implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions using ArcGIS Online, a collaborative, cloud-based platform and integral part of the ArcGIS system. At present, there are 48 firms worldwide that have been accepted into this specialty.
“We are very excited to be a member of this elite group of Esri Partners that have received the ArcGIS Online Specialty designation”, said Bruce E. Stauffer, Vice President of geographIT. “ArcGIS Online is revolutionizing the way organizations share and use geographic information collaboratively to improve field operations and enhance communication about, and analysis of, their operations.
Cloud GIS computing is making GIS technology accessible and affordable to municipal governments, authorities, small businesses, and non-profit organizations because it lowers the cost and complexity of implementing and maintaining GIS for their organizations. We foresee entirely new market opportunities because of this transformative technology”.
