Draftware Updates CADDS 5 Viewer/Translator

VEVAY, IN, Feb 10, 2015 - Draftware Inc, a leading provider of solutions for handling legacy Computervision CAD data, today announced the release of DraftView for CADDS Rev 5, which has an updated user interface and new native language support.

The release adds new CADDS-to-DXF batch translation features, and support for CADDS 5  designs produced on legacy platforms, such as DEC VAXstation.  "We have freshened the user interface for Windows 7 and 8", noted Steve Huffman, General Manager. "More importantly, DraftView is now available in native French, Italian and German versions."

"CADDS was widely used in Europe, and this legacy design data is still being dealt with several years later", said Barbara Fluegeman, Customer Accounts Manager at Draftware. "The new French, Italian and German versions of DraftView are the direct result of demand from customers in Europe."

Draftware is celebrating 27 years of supporting the legacy Computervision/PTC CAD market.  Steve Huffman adds, "We were selling DraftView long before PTC's acquisition of Computervision 18 years ago.  Since then we have become the 'Go To' vendor for companies that want to save their past investments in CADDS and Personal Designer."
