2005 Collaborative Technology Conference Builds On Successful Inaugural Event

SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Aug. 11, 2005— MediaLive International, Inc., today announced that the Collaborative Technologies Conference (CTC) will return in 2006, building on a successful inaugural 2005 event that featured the market's top thought leaders and vendors. The 2006 event will take place in Boston, Mass., from June 19-22 at the Seaport Hotel. CTC is the collaborative technology market's premier event, dedicated to the breadth of collaboration technologies, helping attendees understand how to best leverage the technical, productive and social aspects of IT and workgroup environments.

"At the 2005 Collaborative Technologies Conference, a combination of Line of Business and IT professionals came together, creating an industry-defining event and allowing the collaborative technology market to take a major step forward," said James Smith, Collaborative Technologies Conference General Manager. "In such an emerging market, we must understand the underlying principles of collaboration as they relate to business processes and how they will impact the future of the way we work. At CTC 2006, the collaborative technology thought leaders and companies will return to provide examples and solutions that will allow us to build, deploy and leverage technology layers that will continue to propel our businesses forward."

Just as at the 2005 event, the 2006 CTC conference program will help business and IT leaders develop and implement a collaboration strategy, while exploring the potential benefits of collaborative technologies and explaining how to align them to an organization's needs. The Collaborative Technologies Conference also focuses on helping IT infrastructure leaders understand the impact and requirements of collaborative applications and mobile devices, as well as address best practices in selecting the appropriate applications and maximizing their effective use.

"The Collaborative Technologies Conference provided insight into the social aspects of collaboration, as well as the latest tools and technologies from the vendors in attendance," said Kathy Hackett, Training Program Manager, Johns Hopkins University. "I enjoyed the intimate setting and interaction with a great mix of line of business and IT professionals."

"The Collaborative Technologies Conference was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time because of the high level of speakers and attendees, as well as the focus on line of business issues," said Lisa Centoni, Director of Intel and Collaboration, Gap. "There is huge potential for growth in this market, and I can see this show becoming a huge event for the next five to ten years."

"By attending the 2005 Collaborative Technologies Conference, the quality of the sessions, speakers and opportunities to speak with the market's leading vendors gave me the ability to form stronger opinions on collaborative technologies and tools," said Peter Shoudy, CTO, Delaware Technical and Community College. "I look forward to returning next year to hear about the market's latest developments."

Fueled by the ubiquity in IP communications, CTC 2006 will focus on real-time and asynchronous technologies including presence-aware collaboration tools and services such as instant messaging, voice and video communication, team collaboration environments, email, calendaring, wikis, blogging and related standardization and compliance issues.

More information on participating in the 2006 Collaborative Technologies Conference is available by contacting James Smith, VP and GM, CTC 2005, at jms@mlii.com or 415-905-2520.
