2D Hatch and Infill
The Polygonica team recently published a new blog and associated video demo showing some new unsupported example code available for people interested in using Polygonica's 2D operations for AM hatch and infill. These range from fast polyline clipping to advanced medial axis offset generation. The code is available to customers and evaluees on request and we're open to suggestions for improvement.
Watch out for a more detailed overview of medial axis and medial axis offsets, in a few weeks (hopefully).
You can find more information about Polygonica updates on the
Polygonica blog and
YouTube page.
If you're new to Polygonica, there are also
video demos of core functionality on the website.
Walls (blue) and top/bottom surfaces (green) are filed with a zig-zag pattern. The interior (red) is filled with outwards offsets from a pruned medial axis.
