Blue Ridge Numerics Promotes Engineering Leaders

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Feb 27, 2008 -- Blue Ridge Numerics, a worldwide leader in upfront CFD, has promoted five engineers who have been instrumental in helping customers solve tough technical problems and improve product development processes. Jason Pfeiffer, Derrek Cooper, Dave Graves, Josh Gray and James Neville will take on new and expanded responsibilities in their new positions.

Jason Pfeiffer has been elevated to the new position of Director of Engineering Services, where he will provide the leadership for consulting, training and support that helps customers maximize the value of Blue Ridge's CFdesign upfront CFD software.

A veteran of six years with Blue Ridge Numerics, from the beginning Pfeiffer has had a passion for helping customers get the most out of upfront CFD.

"Jason had a vision from day 1 about building a full-service engineering organization at Blue Ridge Numerics," says Kevin O'Shea, the company's vice president of sales for North America and Europe. "We are thrilled to provide him with that opportunity. Jason leads from the front and puts the best interests of his people and our customers first."

Derrek Cooper, Dave Graves, Josh Gray and James Neville are the people that Pfeiffer will rely on to provide worldwide leadership in engineering services.

"We've mobilized a wealth of engineering talent and resources to help new and existing customers leverage the power of upfront CFD," says Pfeiffer. "Derrek, Dave, Josh and James are brilliant engineers and leaders who understand the pain and struggles faced by design engineers."

Cooper, who started with Blue Ridge as an application engineer in the Southwest region, has more than 10 years of CFD experience. As the new senior manager for field services, he directs U.S. technical support and training while serving as the technical leader in Europe.

Graves and Gray are the East and West region technical managers, respectively, in charge of eight to 10 engineers in their areas of the United States. In this role, they are counselors and confidants, helping to solve technical problems and making sure the field team has the resources to provide additional value to CFdesign users.

As the new European project leader, Pfeiffer says Neville is making sure customers get the technical support and custom training they need to fully benefit from upfront CFD along with access to a wider range of project-specific services to help customers achieve product development goals.

"The ability to provide services that help our customers design better, faster and more economically is a huge differentiator for Blue Ridge Numerics," says Ed Williams, company president. "Other companies give lip service to consulting, training and support; Jason, Derrek, Dave, Josh, James and their teams in the field make it happen every day for CFdesign users."
