Oxford, England. March 03, 2009
The Product Lifecycle Management Interest Group (PLMIG) announced that extensive feedback from PLM user companies has defined the deliverables to be achieved by the PLM User Initiative in 2009.
The list forms a comprehensive view of the way the user community believes that PLM should be developed and improved over the next 12 months. The deliverables are grouped under main 8 headings:-
- Commercial Value of PLM
- Vision and Definition
- Planning and Roadmapping
- Organisation and Culture Change
- PLM Techniques
- Integration
- PDM and the IT Platform
- Industry Development
The User Initiative provides a structured collaboration framework that will feed this set of deliverables into the implementations of participating companies by the end of the year.
Companies that may be interested in taking part in the User Initiative can obtain a copy of the User Initiative Overview document, which explains the structure and full set of deliverables, via Email Contact.
