A Tool to Measure Object Height  from Cast Shadows

June 10, 2010 -- GEOSYSTEMS has developed a new tool for ERDAS IMAGINE 2010.x. Shadow2Height for ERDAS IMAGINE allows measuring the height of objects by digitizing the length of the cast shadow within a mono image displayed on screen. The tool is suitable for optical as well as for radar image data.

We are still in a beta phase but the tool (a fully functional trial version) can be downloaded for free and tested until the end of September 2010. The link to the tool is: http://www.geosystems.de/shadow2height/beta.
