COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 21 — (PRNewswire) — Nexergy, a leading designer and manufacturer of battery systems, announced today that Neil Rohr has joined the company in the role of Vice President of Engineering.  Rohr will lead Nexergy's team of electrical and mechanical engineers and project managers who develop battery systems for medical, military, industrial and commercial applications at their Product Development Center in Centennial, Colorado.  Rohr's appointment is indicative of Nexergy's commitment to recruit and retain world class talent to design and produce leading edge energy solutions that improve our customers' product performance.

Rohr most recently was the Director of Development Engineering for Hewlett Packard's Mobile Business Unit where he managed a group of over 30 domestic and international electrical and mechanical engineers and program managers. Prior to joining HP, Rohr was a lead systems design engineer with Texas Instruments Defense Systems Electronics Group.

Rohr holds dual Bachelors degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Kansas State and Fort Hays State universities. He has also completed coursework at the Sloan School of management at MIT.
