Urban Mapping Enhances Its Industry Leading Neighborhood Boundary Data and Technology; Announces New Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Nov 18, 2010 -- Urban Mapping, Inc (UMI), a leading provider of location-rich content for interactive applications, today announced updates to the company's market leading Neighborhoods database, which now includes over 106,000 neighborhoods in over 3,500 cities across the United States, Canada and Europe. The update to the database includes new neighborhood names and edits that are all a result of UMI's own local research and verified customer feedback.

Urban Mapping also announced a new "draw order" technology for rendering Neighborhoods on a map. Draw order improves visual display by carefully ordering a gradual appearance of overlapping neighborhood information. This new technology will be incorporated for all current Neighborhoods customers, including Urban Mapping's newest: CouponCabin, Eventful and TripAdvisor.
