OPEN MIND will also demonstrate advanced 5-axis programming and simulation approaches that include cutter length prediction on top of reliable collision detection and collision avoidance solutions.  New 5-axis shape offset roughing and finishing routines are applied to engine casings and structural components.  5-Axis techniques are becoming increasingly important in mold and die, medical, and aerospace applications.
