Samsung Launches New GALAXY Tab 4 7.0 Tablet Powered by Marvell's ARMADA Mobile PXA1088 System-on-Chip

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug 12, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —   Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL) today announced that Samsung selected the award-winning Marvell® ARMADA® Mobile PXA1088, a highly integrated quad-core application and communications mobile System-on-Chip (SoC), to power Samsung's new 7-inch GALAXY Tab 4 7.0 tablet. The Marvell PXA1088 was chosen for its support of all global broadband 3G standards, and its ability to deliver superior multimedia performance and wireless capabilities for the mass market at an affordable price point. This launch is a continuation of Marvell and Samsung's successful launches of the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 and GALAXY Tab 3 Lite, both currently shipping to consumers around the globe.
