SAN JOSE, Calif., May 7, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS) today announced that Cadence Fellow and chief technology officer of the IP Group, Dr. Chris Rowen, is scheduled to present at Embedded Vision Summit 2015 on May 12 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

WHAT:

During his presentation entitled, "Designing and Selecting Instruction Sets for Vision," Dr. Rowen plans to discuss two critical technical trends that have reached important inflection points: the massive compute demands of vision processing and the capabilities of specialized vision processors. His talk will serve as a step-by-step tutorial on how to dissect a suite of applications, extract the key computational and memory requirements, and determine priorities for processor instruction set and memory organization for optimal vision processing.

Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with Cadence tech experts and view demonstrations of the Cadence® Tensilica® IVP image/video digital signal processors (DSPs) during the exhibition and reception hours.

WHEN:

Embedded Vision Summit 2015 is on May 12, 2015. Dr. Rowen's presentation is scheduled to take place from 4:00pm to 5:30pm PDT. Exhibits are open from 12:00pm to 7:30pm PDT.
