Lancaster, Pennsylvania (March 11, 2010) – The California Agricultural Commissioners and Sealers Association (CACASA) retained geographIT to provide project management and technical oversight for 18 months during the design, development, and implementation of a new PPUR system for its 58 member counties. Professional services include forming a Technical Advisory Group (TAG); reviewing and commenting on deliverables submitted by Environ, the contracted system vendor; auditing the system design to ensure the user interface, database design, and business processes fulfill system requirements; coordinating CACASA feedback to deliverables; participating in meetings between Environ and CACASA; preparing project status reports; and facilitating other direct and indirect communication between Environ and CACASA as needed to keep all parties fully informed and actively engaged.

This contract is a continuation of consulting work completed in 2009 in which geographIT prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the design, development, and implementation of a new PPUR system, and completed a System Requirements Specification (SRS) document with sufficient technical detail that could be used by IT firms to prepare fixed cost proposals. geographIT also assisted in proposal review, vendor interviews, and recommendation of the winning proposal for CACASA Board of Directors approval.
